LagoonSaver™ is dedicated to improving the Indian River Lagoon
Our mission is quite simple: we are developing environmentally friendly products that contribute to, and incentivize, the restoration of Florida’s Indian River Lagoon, our nation’s most diverse estuary.
LagoonSaver™ products represent the work of individuals and partner organizations dedicated to restoring and preserving the Indian River Lagoon. The development of LagoonSaver™ gardening products is led by Dr. Matthew Van Ert and his wife, Yoshimi Nemoto, and funded by their company Van Ert, Nemoto and Associates, LLC (aka ‘VEN’).
In many ways, LagoonSaver™ represents the culmination of nearly a decade of their work to create value-added products from algae and aquatic plants that are harvested as part of water cleaning projects in Florida.
These products simply would not be possible without the visionary Lagoon restoration efforts of Indian River County and their Stormwater Division; which is a key source of algae and aquatic plants for our products.
