Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Where can I buy LagoonSaver™ Compost?
A: Currently, if you are interested in purchasing our product you can text (321-368-3573), call (321-368-3573) or email (matt@lagoonsaver.com) and we can arrange a delivery. Soon, we hope to have our product placed in local nurseries in Indian River County, and available online at select retailers.

Q: Why do you recommend blending LagoonSaver™ Compost with a topsoil or potting soil?

A: In our experience, blending LagoonSaver 50/50 with a topsoil or potting soil gives excellent growth results that are comparable to using LagoonSaver™ straight. However, LagoonSaver ™ compost is quite dense and blending can improve drainage and increase water infiltration, while still allowing your plants to benefit from the micronutrient rich, slow release characteristics of LagoonSaver™ Compost.

Q: What are those soft, greenish-yellow granules in LagoonSaver™ Compost?

A: Our compost incorporates processed algae and aquatic plant ‘granules’ into our compost. These raw plant granules contribute to the slow-release characteristics of our formula, help to hold moisture and give our compost its distinctive look.

Q: What plants can be grown in LagoonSaver™?

A: We have successfully grown the following plants in LagoonSaver™ Compost: Tomatoes (multiple varieties), Peppers (multiple varieties), Broccoli, Cauliflower, Carrots, Radish, Spinach, Kale, Collard Greens, Lettuce (multiple varieties), Cabbage, Basil, Corn, Potatoes, Squash, Watermelons and Bananas. In addition, we have used LagoonSaver™ for planting and fertilizing Mango and Citrus trees with great success.
